Pods

Pods: Football Without Limits

Six players and a ball is enough.

The greatest players in the world weren't built by expensive systems. They grew up in environments: the street, the cage, futsal, small-sided games with whoever showed up. FWL Pods bring that back, right in your neighbourhood.

What Is a Pod?

A pod isn't a team. It's a small training group of local players who meet regularly to learn and compete in small-sided games.

  • 6 players make a 3v3 pod
  • 7 players make a futsal pod
  • Pods meet wherever families agree on a time and place, like a local park or school field
  • No tryouts, no league permission, no gatekeepers

Why Six Players?

Six players don't make one team. They make 20 different possible three-player teams. By rotating, every player gets to play with every teammate, try every role and solve new problems every session.

No fixed positions. No pecking order. Just players learning to read the game, adapt and think for themselves.

How Pods Grow

  • Two pods: pods play each other for real competition and instant feedback
  • Three pods: festival days with rotating games and no rankings
  • Four pods or more: bridges into 7v7 and 9v9, introduced when players are ready

Bigger games still happen. They just come later, once players have the touches and the understanding to enjoy them. And every player always returns to their pod.

The More Families Join, the Less It Costs

Traditional clubs get more expensive as they grow. FWL is designed to work the other way: as more families join the network, costs are shared and the price for each family comes down. Our firm rule is that no FWL program will ever cost more than $250 a month.

That means families don't compete with each other. Every new family makes the whole network stronger.

Start a Founding Pod

We're launching our first pods across Dallas–Fort Worth, and we're looking for founding families.

  1. Round up your crew: find five other players around your child's age, such as friends, classmates or neighbours.
  2. Pick a spot: a nearby park or field that works for your families.
  3. Tell us about it: fill in the form below.

Your pod's first session is free, run by an FWL coach. It's a free evaluation for the whole group, so you can see what pod training feels like.

Don't have six yet? Fill in the form anyway with your area. We'll connect you with other families nearby.

Repetition without variation produces rigidity.

Thanks for starting a pod! We've got your details and we'll be in touch soon to set up your free first session.

In the meantime, keep rounding up your crew.
